Many characteristics of L. stylirostris are like L. vannamei, however they prefer high oxygen levels, turbity, salinities and protein levels. L. stylirostris are aggressive feeders and will roam around the pond looking for feed. They prefer deep ponds and higher water quality where they are often more intent of escaping from ponds compared to L. vannamei. It can grow up to maximum length of 230mm. The rostrum with about 7 dorsal teethand 1poorly developed1 ventral tooth.They are blue to white in color. They are open thelycum species similar to L. vannamei.
